KESSEL, Kessel Sector<\/strong> \u2014 Grand Moff Tervan Byluir, Imperial Governor of the Trans-Nebular Oversector, was killed today in a terrorist attack during an official inspection of the Imperial penal and mining installations on Kessel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Moff had arrived on Kessel to review prison-security measures, mining output, and anti-smuggling operations when an explosive device was detonated along a secured transit route near the main processing complex. Grand Moff Byluir was pronounced dead at the scene. Several members of his security detail and administrative staff were also killed or injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initial findings indicate that the attack was deliberate and directed at the Grand Moff\u2019s party. The device appears to have been brought into the restricted zone through a falsified logistics shipment. Imperial Security Bureau investigators have assumed control of the scene alongside Kessel\u2019s local command and the Imperial Inspectorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities have not formally assigned responsibility. However, preliminary evidence recovered from the attack site has established possible links to Pyke Syndicate criminal operations active along the Kessel trade routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iron Lance Command has ordered an immediate security review across the Trans-Nebular Oversector. Imperial forces have increased patrols in the Kessel system and at key hyperspace approaches, while all nonessential traffic to and from Kessel remains subject to heightened inspection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
