KESSEL, Kessel Sector<\/strong> \u2014 The joint investigation into the assassination of Grand Moff Tervan Byluir has expanded as Imperial authorities review evidence indicating possible links between the attack and Pyke Syndicate criminal operations along the Kessel trade routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grand Moff Byluir was killed during an official inspection of Kessel\u2019s Imperial penal and mining installations when an explosive device detonated along a secured transit route near the main processing complex. Investigators believe the device entered the restricted zone through a falsified logistics shipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Imperial Security Bureau, Imperial Inspectorate, Kessel local command, and the Ministry of Security\u2019s Office of Criminal Investigations are now conducting a coordinated review of freight manifests, subcontractor records, port clearances, and personnel access authorizations connected to recent traffic through Kessel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities have not formally assigned responsibility for the attack. However, preliminary evidence recovered from the attack site has established possible links to Pyke Syndicate criminal operations active along the Kessel trade routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional security personnel have been assigned to freight terminals, prison approaches, mining complexes, and hyperspace transit points throughout the system. Legitimate commercial and government traffic remains permitted, though all vessels and cargo entering Kessel are subject to heightened inspection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grand Moff Varro Straka, newly appointed to lead the Trans-Nebular Oversector, is expected to assume his duties from Ord Pardron as the security review continues.
