CORELLIAN RUN — Imperial authorities have increased patrol activity along portions of the Corellian Run after several civilian vessels reported attempted piracy.

The incidents involved unidentified craft approaching merchant vessels and attempting to force them away from established lanes. In each known case, the targeted crews transmitted distress signals and escaped before a boarding could occur.

No confirmed losses or casualties have been reported. Authorities are examining navigation records, communications traffic, and sensor data in an effort to identify the vessels involved.

Imperial patrols have been directed to increase visibility along affected routes, particularly in areas where merchant traffic is dispersed or where vessels may be more vulnerable to interception.

“Captains should not attempt to resolve a piracy encounter alone,” an Imperial official said. “Transmit a distress signal, remain on the safest available route, and provide authorities with the clearest possible account of what occurred.”

Civilian captains have also been advised to avoid unregistered route changes and to ensure that emergency beacons are functional before departure.

The investigation remains ongoing.
