KESSEL SECTOR REVIEW EXPANDS AS INVESTIGATORS EXAMINE FREIGHT INTERMEDIARIES

LITTLE KESSEL — The Imperial review of criminal activity affecting the Kessel Sector has expanded to include a detailed examination of freight intermediaries, subcontracting arrangements, and commercial records connected to northern Little Kessel.

Initial assessment teams identified irregular cargo declarations and repeated routing changes involving shipments moving through the region. Investigators are now examining whether nominally independent transport and brokerage concerns were used to obscure the movement of illicit goods or to exert pressure upon lawful carriers.

The review was ordered by Grand Moff Lord Varro Straka following the Crown of Little Kessel’s petition for Imperial assistance. Iron Lance Command, Ministry of Security personnel, Imperial customs authorities, and local security services continue to coordinate their work.

Officials have not announced charges against any individual or firm. Several records have been secured for examination, and a limited number of consignments remain held pending verification.

“The integrity of legitimate trade is not negotiable,” an official from the Grand Moff’s office stated. “Those who rely upon concealment, intimidation, and false commercial arrangements will find that the Empire is prepared to follow the evidence.”

Known Pyke Syndicate operations in northern Little Kessel remain a principal concern of the review. Investigators are also assessing whether the same methods could bear relevance to the assassination of Grand Moff Tervan Byluir on Kessel.
