ORD PARDRON — A witness connected to the continuing investigation into the assassination of Grand Moff Tervan Byluir has been placed under Imperial protection, according to officials familiar with the case.

The witness was transferred from the Kessel Sector under security arrangements coordinated by the Imperial Security Bureau and Iron Lance Command. Authorities have not released the individual’s identity, profession, or present location.

Officials confirmed only that the witness is believed to possess information relevant to freight activity and logistical records under examination in the wider Kessel Sector security assessment.

The transfer follows recent discoveries involving irregular commercial routing, concealed security equipment, and suspected misuse of civilian freight channels in northern Little Kessel. Investigators continue to examine possible links between those activities, established Pyke Syndicate operations, and the attack that killed Grand Moff Byluir.

“No person who chooses to assist the lawful investigation of murder and organized criminal activity should fear abandonment,” Grand Moff Lord Varro Straka said in a written statement. “The Empire will protect those who come forward and will pursue those responsible wherever the evidence leads.”

The Imperial Security Bureau and Imperial Inspectorate investigations remain ongoing. No arrests have been announced in connection with the assassination.
