SULLUST — Local authorities on Sullust have imposed temporary safety closures around several industrial and transit sites following a localized increase in volcanic activity.

The event included ground tremors, ash emissions, and elevated gas readings near a monitored volcanic region. While geological activity is a familiar fact of life on Sullust, officials said the present conditions warranted precautionary restrictions around nearby tunnels, service corridors, and industrial works.

Workers from the affected sites were evacuated under established safety procedures. Engineers are inspecting ventilation systems, structural supports, and transport links before authorizing normal operations to resume.

No major population center has been affected, and there have been no reports of serious injuries. Essential planetary services remain operational.

“Sullust is prepared for geological events, and those preparations are working as intended,” an emergency coordinator stated. “The closures are limited, precautionary, and will be lifted when inspections confirm that the affected areas are safe.”

Offworld shipping and ordinary traffic through the Sullust system have not been disrupted. Local transit schedules near the affected region may remain subject to short-notice changes while recovery work continues.
