LOTHAL — Local authorities have declared a heat emergency in several districts of Lothal following an extended period of unusually high temperatures.

Public cooling centers have been opened in affected communities, and residents have been advised to limit strenuous activity during peak daylight hours. Medical personnel have reported an increase in heat-related illness, particularly among elderly citizens, agricultural workers, and those without reliable cooling equipment.

Agricultural officials are monitoring water reserves, crop conditions, and the risk of brushfires in dry areas. Local crews have begun distributing water to vulnerable communities and inspecting power systems strained by increased demand.

Imperial and local relief personnel are assisting with the response. No compulsory evacuations have been ordered, though emergency services are prepared to move residents if fires or water shortages threaten inhabited areas.
