GRAND MOFF STRAKA ORDERS KESSEL SECTOR SECURITY ASSESSMENT FOLLOWING LITTLE KESSEL PETITION

ORD PARDRON — Grand Moff Lord Varro Straka has directed the commencement of a coordinated security assessment in the Kessel Sector following the Crown of Little Kessel’s formal petition for Imperial assistance.
The assessment will bring together personnel from Iron Lance Command, the Ministry of Security, Imperial customs authorities, and the relevant local security services to review criminal activity affecting civilian communities and lawful commerce throughout the sector.
Particular attention will be given to smuggling routes, freight interference, extortion, and suspected Pyke Syndicate activity in the northern regions of Little Kessel. The review will also examine vulnerabilities in local shipping, port operations, and commercial contracting that may allow criminal organizations to exert influence beyond their established operations.
The directive follows the assassination of Grand Moff Tervan Byluir on Kessel and the subsequent discovery of preliminary evidence indicating possible links to Pyke Syndicate criminal operations active along the Kessel trade routes.
“The people and lawful institutions of the Kessel Sector are entitled to security, reliable commerce, and the protection of Imperial law,” Grand Moff Straka said in a statement released by his office. “This assessment will establish the facts, support responsible local authorities, and ensure that criminal influence finds no safe refuge within the sector.”
Officials emphasized that the assessment is intended to reinforce, rather than displace, Little Kessel’s lawful civil government and local institutions. No broader security measures have yet been announced.
The first assessment teams are expected to begin work on Little Kessel in the coming days. Further action will be determined upon completion of the initial review.
