First Assault Legion in Brief

The First Assault Legion is, quite simply, comprised of the crack troops of the Imperial Army. Ferocious fighters, these men are trained within a hair's breadth of the StormCorps in terms of efficiency, loyalty, and sheer courage. They are a fearsome fighting force. Their ranks, however, are extremely select -- the Assault Legion fluctuates in terms of numbers, but an approximate force of less than one million men is maintained, most of the time. This means that less than one percent of all Imperial Army troops actually win assignment to the Legion based on their performance both on and off the field of battle. As such, the officers assigned to the First Assault Legion consider it a great honor -- so great, in fact, that some officers value an assignment to the Legion more highly than they would to the First Sector.
