Imperial Intelligence

Imperial Intelligence is the Galactic Empire’s primary civilian intelligence and covert operations agency. Operating independently from the Imperial military, it functions as a strategic intelligence service similar in role to a combination of high-level intelligence and security organizations. While it frequently works in close cooperation with the Imperial Army and Navy, it is not a military branch, nor is it part of COMPNOR.

Overview

Imperial Intelligence specializes in long-term strategic intelligence, deep-cover operations, advanced analysis, and decisive covert actions. It maintains a lower public profile than the Imperial Security Bureau while excelling in areas that require subtlety, patience, and extensive planning. The agency reports directly to the highest levels of Imperial authority and serves the New Order through information superiority and proactive operations.

Leadership

Imperial Intelligence is directed by the secretive Ubiqtorate, a high-level council that sets overall strategy and policy. Operational coordination across the galaxy is managed through the Sector Plexus.

Major Bureaus

• Adjustments Bureau — Elite special actions and crisis resolution unit.
• Intelligence Bureau — Core intelligence gathering, predictive analysis, Sector Branches, Sedition monitoring, External Communications (ExComm), and Crisis response.
• Operations Bureau — Field operations including Assassination, Destabilization, Diplomatic Service (DiploSer), Renik, Infiltration, and Surveillance.
• Analysis Bureau — Processes and interprets intelligence through Cryptanalysis, Signal, Media, Tech, and Interrogation sections.
• Internal Organization Bureau (IntOrg) — Handles internal security and counterintelligence.

Role in the Empire

Imperial Intelligence provides the Emperor and senior Imperial leadership with critical strategic intelligence and the capability to conduct operations beyond the scope of conventional military or internal security forces. It complements the ISB’s ideological enforcement role by focusing on external threats, long-term planning, and deniable operations that advance the New Order.
