This bureau is charged with the security of Imperial Intelligence, both internal and external. Members of IntOrg have highly civil manners, and show strong political etiquette as they have to deal with members from other areas of Intelligence. However, they have also been trained to be ruthless when the stakes are high and there is a real threat. IntOrg enjoys a good reputation among Imperial Intelligence as it rarely abuses its power.
IntSec is responsible for the physical security of Imperial Intelligence personnel and facilities. IntSec personnel are generally the only officers allowed to carry weapons in sensitive areas – they are well equipped and well trained. IntSec also have plainclothes agents who operate outside Intelligence facilities who try to spot and prevent potential intruders.
IntCon deals with rooting out spies and spy rings which have been implanted into Imperial Intelligence. They have extraordinary freedom to access information they require. They deal with all levels of Imperial Intelligence. IntCon almost resembles Imperial Intelligence but miniaturised, with branches for Analysis, Operations and Intelligence. IntCon has a very loose and informal structure, and information held by IntCon is heavily secured against access by non-IntCon agents. However, members within IntCon have virtually no way of preventing other IntCon agents from viewing their actions, decisions and data. This way, IntCon monitors itself as any member of IntCon can examine another member’s work – because of this lack of secrecy and privacy in-branch, it is virtually impossible for an enemy spy to infiltrate IntCon and remain undetected for long.
