Ministry of Culture

Galaxies Opera House, Coruscant The Ministry of Culture is responsible for the preservation, regulation, and promotion of cultural activities throughout the Galactic Empire. It oversees artistic expression, historical preservation, public entertainment, and the standardization of cultural practices across diverse worlds.

Reorganized under the New Order, the Ministry works to foster a unified Imperial culture while discouraging divisive or destabilizing influences from the old Republic era. It reviews and approves major cultural events, artistic works, and public festivals to ensure they align with Imperial values of order, loyalty, and unity.

The Ministry also maintains archives of significant cultural artifacts and coordinates with planetary governors on the scheduling and regulation of local holidays and traditions. Through its oversight, it seeks to strengthen the shared identity of Imperial citizens and reduce regional fragmentation, working closely with the Coalition for Progress's Art Group.

The Minister of Culture reports directly to the Ruling Council and holds authority over cultural policy, artistic regulation, and the approval of large-scale public spectacles and media across the galaxy.
