$Customs Corvette (by Ansel Hsiao of fractalsponge.net)$ The Ministry of the Interior is responsible for the internal administration, security, and governance of Imperial territories. It oversees planetary and sector-level civil affairs, law enforcement coordination, immigration control, and the regulation of non-military activities within Imperial space.

Reorganized under the New Order, the Ministry ensures efficient territorial management and maintains public order while supporting the broader goals of stability and loyalty to the Empire. It works closely with COMPNOR’s Coalition for Improvement to align local governance with Imperial standards and values.

Imperial Office of Customs

The Imperial Office of Customs (also known as the Imperial Customs Bureau) serves as the Ministry’s primary agency for border security and trade enforcement. It conducts inspections of incoming and outgoing vessels, collects tariffs, prevents smuggling, and enforces trade regulations at all major spaceports and hyperspace routes. The Office works in close coordination with the Imperial Navy and Ministry of Commerce to maintain control over the flow of goods and personnel.

Environmental Preservation & Refocusing Authority

The Environmental Preservation & Refocusing Authority is tasked with the management and rehabilitation of planetary environments across the Empire. It oversees conservation efforts, resource reclamation projects, and the “refocusing” of ecosystems to better serve Imperial agricultural, industrial, and military needs. The Authority ensures that planetary resources are utilized efficiently while maintaining sufficient habitability for Imperial populations.

The Ministry of the Interior coordinates closely with other agencies on matters of internal security, customs enforcement, and environmental policy. Through centralized oversight and strict regulation, it maintains order and functionality within the Empire’s vast territories.

The Minister of the Interior reports directly to the Ruling Council and holds authority over territorial administration, customs enforcement, environmental policy, and internal civil governance throughout the galaxy.
