Ministry of Education

Caridan Military Academy The Ministry of Education is responsible for the standardization and oversight of all educational institutions across the Galactic Empire. It develops and enforces curriculum guidelines, approves teaching materials, and maintains uniformity in schooling from primary levels through higher education.

Following the Clone Wars, the Ministry was reorganized from the former Republic education system to eliminate inconsistencies and align instruction with Imperial needs. It now controls a vast network of public schools, secondary institutions, and specialized training centers throughout the Core, Colonies, Inner Rim, and beyond.

The Ministry directly supervises the Imperial Academy system, which includes both civilian and military-track institutions. These academies train future officers, engineers, administrators, and technical specialists for service in the Imperial military, government ministries, and civil service. Admission is competitive and based on aptitude, loyalty screening, and academic performance.

Curriculum under the Ministry emphasizes mathematics, the sciences, engineering, Imperial history, and civic instruction. All educational content is centrally reviewed to ensure consistency and to promote values that support the stability of the New Order. The Ministry also coordinates with other agencies on youth programs and specialized vocational training. They work closely with the Coalition for Progress's Education group on curriculum as well as the Sub-Adult Group's SAGEducation.

Imperial Academy System

The Imperial Academy System forms the cornerstone of the Ministry’s advanced training programs. It encompasses a network of prestigious institutions that prepare cadets for service in the Imperial military, government, and civil service. Admission is highly competitive and based on aptitude, loyalty screening, and academic performance. The system includes both general military academies and specialized tracks for officers, pilots, engineers, and administrators.

Imperial Academies and their primary specializations include:

Royal Imperial Academy (Coruscant) — Flagship officer training academy for the Army, Navy, and elite administrative tracks.
Imperial Naval Academy (Prefsbelt IV) — Premier training for Imperial Navy officers, navigation, command, and large-vessel operations.
Raithal Academy (Raithal) — Most prestigious Army officer training with live-fire drills and tactical simulations.
Corulag Military Academy (Corulag) — Advanced training for Army and Navy officers, including specialist and flight tracks.
Academy of Carida (Carida) — Major stormtrooper and Army training facility, known for high-gravity conditioning and engineering programs.
Arkanis Academy (Arkanis) — Senior academy focused on leadership and stormtrooper command training.
Skystrike Academy (Montross) — Elite pilot training program for starfighter and TIE pilot candidates.
Anaxes War College (Anaxes) — Advanced naval strategy, warship testing, and command simulation.

The Minister of Education reports directly to the Ruling Council and holds authority over policy, funding, and accreditation for all Imperial educational facilities.
