Insignia of the Imperial Press Corps The Ministry of Information is responsible for the control, regulation, and dissemination of all official information and news throughout the Galactic Empire. It oversees the HoloNet, manages public communications, and ensures that all media and broadcasts align with the principles of the New Order.

Reorganized after the Clone Wars, the Ministry replaced the fragmented and often unreliable information services of the late Republic. Its primary mission is to promote unity, loyalty, and confidence in the Imperial government while countering rumors, misinformation, and subversive narratives spread by disloyal elements.

Imperial Press Corps

The Imperial Press Corps serves as the Ministry’s official journalistic and reporting arm. It recruits and trains journalists who work with HoloNet News and other approved outlets. Members of the Press Corps are authorized to issue public statements and reports on Imperial activities, ensuring that all news reaching the public is accurate, approved, and supportive of the Empire’s goals.

Information Dissemination Section

The Information Dissemination Section is tasked with the creation and widespread distribution of official Imperial messaging, including news releases, public announcements, and approved informational content. It works to shape public perception, highlight the achievements of the New Order, and reinforce loyalty among citizens across the galaxy.

The Ministry of Information works closely with the Coalition for Progress to coordinate media dissemination efforts and ensure consistent messaging across all sectors. Through careful oversight of media and information channels, it maintains the Empire’s narrative of order, strength, and progress.

The Minister of Information reports directly to the Ruling Council and holds authority over all official communications, media regulation, press activities, and information policy throughout the galaxy.
